🌍 Our Kindergarten 1 students explored the wonders of our Earth through an exciting and hands-on learning experience! They discussed the different layers of the Earth and discovered what makes up our planet, including land and water. The children also began to understand how the sun influences climate and weather patterns. To deepen their learning, they explored real materials—touching lake water, seawater, soil and sand—observing and comparing their differences.

This sensory-rich activity sparked curiosity, encouraged questioning and built early scientific thinking. It was a joyful and meaningful journey as our young learners connected with nature around them!

Our young learners had a fantastic time learning new Chinese words today! 📝 The teacher introduced each word, explained its meaning and demonstrated how to use it in a sentence. Then, the children practiced arranging words to create their own sentences, helping one another and exploring the language creatively. 🌟 As they built sentences correctly, they gained confidence, strengthened their understanding of sentence structure and delighted in sharing their ideas with friends.

As part of our Community theme, our young learners enjoyed making chapatis from scratch! They participated in every step — from mixing and kneading the dough to rolling and cooking their chapatis — before tasting their delicious creations. 🥖✨

This hands-on activity helped develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, listening and comprehension. It also encouraged teamwork, patience and curiosity about foods from different cultures. As the children waited for their turn, carefully followed each step and patiently watched their chapatis cook before tasting, they learned the value of patience while engaging their senses and expanding their food vocabulary. 💛
