Are you LISTENING?
Listening is a VERY important part of learning a language. You need to take the time to listen to the language being spoken correctly. You can find sources on the internet very easily - radio shows, TV, YouTube videos, even simply sitting at a local coffee shop taking it all in.
But the point is to just LISTEN to the sounds of the language.
What sounds are hard for you to say? What sounds are "weird" or "different" from your own? Listen to these sounds over and over again, before even trying to say it yourself.
It is recommended that whenever you learn a new word, before you ever say it, you must LISTEN to it at least 10 times. This helps your brain to make the right connections with the right sounds and you will remember the correct way of saying it much easier.
What words or sounds in Khmer do you have the most difficulty with?? Write them in the comments below!
