Are you interested in Water Quality? Do you want to learn more about Plastic Pollution? How about Water Quality and Plastic Pollution in the Mekong and Tonle Sap Rivers? If you do, we would like to introduce a workshop along with panel discussion from the five amazing speakers and panelists.

Your trainers:
- Dr. Monica Arienzo: Associate Research Professor at the Desert Research Institute (USA) where she leads the Microplastics and Environmental Chemistry Laboratory. In the Lower Mekong River System, she is interested in the sources of plastic pollution and the concentration of microplastics.
- Dr. Veronica Nava: Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Milano-Bicocca (Italy) and a visiting postdoc at the Global Water Center, University of Nevada-Reno (USA). She studies microplastics and plastic pollution in freshwater ecosystems, specifically focusing on the effect of these pollutants on the wider ecological context.
- Emily Carlson, MSc.: is a Limnology lab manager at the University of Nevada – Reno (USA). She specializes in water chemistry analyses and aquatic invasive plants. Her research interest includes nutrient cycling between land and water systems.
- Seila Chea, MSc.: is a project manager for Wonders of the Mekong Project. Her research focuses on investigation on plastic distribution in the Mekong River system.
- Savoeurn Soum, MSc.: is studying PhD in applied ecology and management in Biology department at Royal University of Phnom Penh. Her research interest is on water quality and food web production in Tonle Sap ecosystem.
