The Rok Kern team developed a series of courses to help people learn how we better respond to the work of poverty alleviation, aid and development, and charity and justice. In order to prepare people to enter other cultures in a learning posture, Rok kern has put together resources for participants to learn how to create good exposure trips, avoid the pitfalls of short-term trips, and how to communicate ethically in a cross-cultural setting and especially “on caring for the vulnerable children-the benefit of family-based care.”

More than 140 million children are single orphans and more than 15 million are double orphans, and between 5 to 8 million are living in orphanages globally. Yet, the study shows that 80% of children living in residential care institutions still have at least a living parent or someone to care for them.

It has been a great day at our trial workshop on "Ethical Communication". We are so grateful to those who joined us last week to make this workshop happen. It has been a different topic—we all should learn to respect the dignity of those who are featured in the photo and listen to their story first before sharing it, said a participant.
