In response to a request from AUPP Liger Leadership Academy to the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) for an educational study visit, and with official approval granted, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tharith Sriv from the Graduate School of Science organized the program in collaboration with Mr. Sonic Duran.

The study visit focused on astronomical observation of the Moon and Jupiter using telescopes. It took place on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the football field of the Royal University of Phnom Penh.

The event was attended by a number of RUPP students, along with 63 Grade 8 and Grade 9 students, and teachers from AUPP Liger Leadership Academy. The program was coordinated under the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tharith Sriv.

The telescope observation session began at around 5:00 PM and concluded at approximately 8:30 PM, filled with excitement and joy for all participants.

សិក្ខាសាលាអនឡាញរួម NASE–RUPP–SNU ក្រោមប្រធានបទ «ការយល់ដឹងអំពីចក្រវាឡ៖ ពីការវិវត្តនៃផ្កាយរហូតដល់រូបធាតុខ្មៅ» ត្រូវបានរៀបចំឡើងដោយសាកលវិទ្យាល័យភូមិន្ទភ្នំពេញ ដោយមានការរួមសហការនឹងបណ្តាញសម្រាប់ការអប់រំតារាសាស្ត្រ (Network for Astronomy School Education) និងសាកលវិទ្យាល័យជាតិទីក្រុងសេអ៊ូល (SNU) នៅថ្ងៃចន្ទ ទី០១ និង​អង្គារ ទី០២ កើត ខែមាឃ ឆ្នាំម្សាញ់ សប្តស័ក ពុទ្ធសករាជ២៥៦៩ ត្រូវនឹងថ្ងៃទី១៩ និងទី២០ ខែមករា ឆ្នាំ២០២៦។ សិក្ខាសាលានេះមានការចូលរួមដោយវាគ្មឹនមកពី RUPP, NASE និង SNU និងមាន​ការចូលរួមពីអ្នកសិក្សាដែល​សុទ្ធសឹងជាអ្នកស្រឡាញ់ និងចង់ដឹងអំពីតារាវិទ្យា ដែលជានិស្សិត និងអ្នកបង្រៀនរូបវិទ្យា ឬអ្នកពាក់ព័ន្ធចំនួន​១៨ នាក់។

The Joint NASE–RUPP–SNU Online Workshop on “Understanding the Universe: From Stellar Evolution to Dark Matter” was held on 19–20 January 2026, jointly organized by the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP), the Network for Astronomy School Education (NASE), and Seoul National University (SNU).

The workshop featured distinguished speakers who are experts in astronomy and astrophysics from RUPP, NASE, and SNU. Participants included astronomy enthusiasts, current RUPP students, and physics instructors, fostering an engaging academic environment for knowledge exchange and discussion.

ពីថ្ងៃចន្ទ ១ រោច ដល់ថ្ងៃសុក្រ ៥ រោច ខែភទ្របទ ឆ្នាំម្សាញ់ សប្តស័ក ពុទ្ធសករាជ ២៥៦៩ (ថ្ងៃទី៨–១២ ខែកញ្ញា ២០២៥) សាលាក្រោយបរិញ្ញាបត្រផ្នែកវិទ្យាសាស្ត្រ នៃសាកលវិទ្យាល័យភូមិន្ទភ្នំពេញ (Graduate School of Science – RUPP) បានសហការជាមួយសមាគមអ្នកតារាសាស្ត្រកូរ៉េ រៀបចំ ការបោះជំរុំតារាសាស្ត្រ ២០២៥ (Astronomy Camp 2025) នៅសាកលវិទ្យាល័យភូមិន្ទភ្នំពេញ មណ្ឌល ១ និងមជ្ឈមណ្ឌលស្រាវជ្រាវរបស់សាកលវិទ្យាល័យភូមិន្ទភ្នំពេញ នៅតំបន់គីរីរម្យ។

កម្មវិធីមានទាំងផ្នែកទ្រឹស្តី និងការអនុវត្ត។ អ្នកចូលរួមរួមមាន និស្សិតថ្នាក់បរិញ្ញាបត្រ និស្សិតបរិញ្ញាបត្រជាន់ខ្ពស់ និងបុគ្គលិកសិក្សារបស់សាកលវិទ្យាល័យភូមិន្ទភ្នំពេញ ព្រមទាំងអ្នកតារាសាស្ត្រកូរ៉េចំនួន ៤ រូប និងអ្នកតារាសាស្ត្រភីលីពីន ១ រូប។

On September 08-12, 2025, the Graduate School of Science of the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) in collaboration with the Korean Astronomical Society organized the Astronomy Camp 2025 at RUPP's Campus I and the RUPP's Research Center in Kirirom.

The program included both theoretical lectures and practical activities. Participants comprised undergraduate students, graduate students, and academic staff of RUPP, along with four Korean astronomers and one Filipino astronomer.

នៅថ្ងៃព្រហស្បតិ៍ ៨ កើត និងថ្ងៃសុក្រ ៩ កើត ខែអាសាឍ ឆ្នាំម្សាញ់ សប្បតស័ក ព.ស. ២៥៦៩ (ស្មើថ្ងៃទី ៣–៤ កក្កដា ២០២៥) សមាជិកក្លឹប តារាសាស្ត្រកម្ពុជា(Astronomy Cambodia Club ) បានចូលរួមវគ្គបណ្ដុះបណ្ដាលអំពី “ការប្រើប្រាស់កូដទៅសិក្សាផ្កាយ បច្ចេកទេសថត សង្កេត ព្រះអាទិត្យ ដោយប្រើតេលេស្កូប និងទូរស័ព្ទស្មាតហ្វូន”។
វគ្គនេះដឹកនាំដោយលោក អាន ប៊ុនឃួច និស្សិតបណ្ឌិតផ្នែកតារាសាស្ត្រ (អតីតនិស្សិតរូបវិទ្យា សាកលវិទ្យាល័យភូមិន្ទភ្នំពេញ) និងលោក Sonic Duran មិត្តសហការជនជាតិហ្វ៊ីលីពីន ដែលបច្ចុប្បន្នកំពុងសិក្សានៅ Seoul National University សាធារណរដ្ឋកូរ៉េខាងត្បូង។
សកម្មភាពបានប្រព្រឹត្តទៅយ៉ាងរលូន នៅអគារវិស្វកម្មបរិស្ថាន និងបរិវេណសាកលវិទ្យាល័យភូមិន្ទភ្នំពេញ។

On July 3–4, 2025, members of the Cambodia Astronomy Club participated in a training workshop titled "Using and Writing Code to Study Stars" and "Techniques for Photographing and Observing the Sun Using Telescopes and Smartphones."
The training was led by Mr. Ann Bunkhuoch, a PhD student in Astronomy (formerly a Physics student at the Royal University of Phnom Penh), and his colleague Mr. Sonic Duran, a Filipino national who is currently pursuing studies at Seoul National University in South Korea.
The event took place smoothly at the Environmental Engineering Building and surrounding areas of the Royal University of Phnom Penh.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. signed an MoU for an establishment of the Silk Road AREA Alliance. He is also appointed as a Vice-President of the alliance.

Astronomy Cambodia was pleased to host a talk by Prof. Dr. Surhud More and Prof. Dr. Anupreeta More of the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA) entitled "Gravitational Lensing: Galaxy Formation, Evolution and Cosmology". Prof. Dr. Surhud More is also the (IUCAA). Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tharith Sriv, as the Team Chair, NAEC team - Cambodia and a vice dean of the Graduate School of Science further discussed several astronomical activities with them in addition to hosting the talk.

On 08 April 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tharith Sriv, Dr. Sona Krem, Mr. Kosal Seap, Ms. Marady Preab and other team members including those from Astronomy Club met via MS Teams with Ms. Kelsi Hu, in charge of International Cooperation with ASEAN countries at Deep Space Exploration Laboratory (DSEL) in China, and her team members. As part of their International Lunar Research Station (ILRS) Project, Ms. Kelsi Hu presented the project and sought for collaborations. The meeting ended with an expression by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tharith Sriv about possibility for a start of collaboration on Science and Applications, and on Education and Training.
