Study Visit to the University of Szczecin, Poland

Under the direction of H.E. Prof. HOR Peng, Rector of the National University of Management, Mr. RETHDA Rathanak, Deputy Director of NUM iLAW, paid a study visit to the University of Szczecin in Poland, where he met with the Dean, professors, and faculty members of the University.

During the visit, Mr. RETHDA Rathanak had a cordial meeting with Prof. Krystyna Nizioł, Head of the Administration Studies Team at the Faculty of Law and Administration, and Prof. Daniel Dąbrowski, Member of the Administration Studies Team at the Faculty of Law and Administration. The discussion focused on potential areas of future cooperation between the University of Szczecin and the National University of Management, particularly opportunities for student and lecturer exchanges, as well as other forms of academic collaboration.

Prof. Peter Becker also joined with Mr. RETHDA Rathanak on a tour around the the city Szczecin to learn more about its history, culture and collaborations.

Prof. Krystyna Nizioł also expressed her sincere appreciation to H.E. Prof. HOR Peng for the special souvenir and conveyed her warm regards, while looking forward to future cooperation with the National University of Management.

NUM iLAW looks forward to further opportunities to strengthen academic cooperation and international engagement with the University of Szczecin.

Mr. RETHDA Rathanak, Deputy Director of NUM iLAW, represented Cambodia at the Nuremberg Summer Academy for Young Professionals 2026, held from 3 to 7 August 2026 in Nuremberg, Germany.

The Academy brought together 19 young professionals from various countries for practical training and discussions on the investigation, prosecution and adjudication of international crimes and 200 application amongst from professionals.

During his time in Nuremberg, Mr. RETHDA Rathanak also visited the historic Courtroom 600, a significant site in the development of international criminal law and the legacy of the Nuremberg Trials.

Mr. RETHDA Rathanak expressed his sincere gratitude to H.E. Prof. HOR Peng, Rector of the National University of Management, for his kind support and encouragement toward his academic and professional development.

The International Program of Legal Studies of the National University of Management (NUM iLAW) proudly congratulates Mr. RETHDA Rathanak, Deputy Director of NUM iLAW, on his selection to participate in the 11th Anglophone Edition of the Nuremberg Summer Academy for Young Professionals 2026, taking place from 3 to 7 August 2026 in Nuremberg, Germany.

Following a highly competitive and careful selection process, Mr. Rathanak was selected as a participant in this prestigious programme.

Organized by the International Nuremberg Principles Academy, the Nuremberg Summer Academy is its flagship programme, bringing together young lawyers, prosecutors, judges, academics, and other legal professionals to strengthen their knowledge of international criminal law. Guided by leading experts and practitioners, participants gain practical knowledge relating to the investigation, prosecution, and adjudication of genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, and the crime of aggression.

This achievement reflects Mr. Rathanak’s dedication to legal education, international criminal justice, and professional development. We wish him a successful and enriching experience in Nuremberg and look forward to the knowledge and insights he will bring back to the NUM iLAW community.

NUM iLAW is pleased to congratulate our Lecturer Reaksmey Yean on his selection for the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program, a prestigious Fulbright exchange program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.

Selected under the Human Rights field, he will spend approximately ten months in Washington, D.C., affiliated with the American University Washington College of Law. Through the fellowship, he will further develop his academic and professional work in international cultural heritage law, cultural rights, art law, restitution, repatriation, and the protection of cultural heritage.
