This term, our General Khmer course witnessed a truly remarkable achievement. Within just two weeks of introducing the Khmer consonants and vowels, the students of class 𝐒𝐆𝐆-𝟎𝟎𝟒 have already mastered their first 19 words and 3 complete sentences with impressive fluency.

This rapid progress is a testament to the incredible synergy between our dedicated instructors, our hardworking students, and the effective curriculum provided by 𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐘𝐊𝐇𝐌𝐄𝐑. We couldn't be more pleased with the results of this collaborative effort.

The 𝐑𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲, known in Khmer as /𝐛𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐡𝐫ˈ𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐡 𝐧𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐧𝐠-𝐤𝐨𝐚𝐥/ , is a profound ancient rite that marks the traditional commencement of the rice-growing season in Cambodia. This ceremony is deeply rooted in the country's agricultural identity and is presided over by the Monarchy to seek blessings for a bountiful harvest.

One of the most fascinating aspects of this tradition is the role of the 𝐑𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐱𝐞𝐧. During the ritual, the oxen are offered a variety of foods, including rice, corn, beans, sesame, grass, water, and wine. Their choices are carefully observed by royal soothsayers to predict the weather, crop yields, and the general prosperity of the kingdom for the coming year.
