Project Three

Project 3 is an annual short-documentary project produced by the 3rd year students of the Department of Media and Communication (DMC). Initiated under the cooperation between DMC and the GIZ Cambodia (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit), the project allows students to put the theoretical knowledge they learn from the course, Broadcasting Media Production, into practice in orde

r to strengthen and extent their ability toward becoming media professionals. In one trimester, the students are requires to form groups, initiatively and cooperatively produce different pieces of documentary bringing newsworthy stories with different angles from all over Cambodia. Each video illustrates the livelihood of Cambodian people from grassroots to the top and the connection of the people from one generation to another. It also reflects Cambodian society and its evolution in various sectors including economic, politic, culture, and education, which spontaneously is in a positive development progress as well as leaves controversial issues. Being future media professionals, we, the batch 12, appreciates to present our product to national and international audiences very soon. We expect that the project contributes to the understanding of Cambodian society and the knowledge is shared widely to the public.
