During our recent Professional Development Day, our teachers stepped away from their regular schedule to focus on this important work.

It was a day filled with discussion, sharing ideas, and asking simple but important questions:
- How can we support students better?
- What helps them truly understand?
- How can we make learning more meaningful?

Moments like this help us grow as educators and that has a real impact on students every day.

Stories came to life at The Giving Tree this World Book Day 📚

Our classrooms were filled with favourite characters as students and teachers arrived dressed for the occasion.

From costumes to creative activities, the day was all about celebrating books, imagination, and the joy of reading.

✨ We were also delighted to welcome special guest storyteller Monika Malik, who brought stories to life and inspired our students in a truly engaging way.

We extend our warmest wishes to all our students, families, colleagues, and partners celebrating this special occasion.

It won’t be an exaggeration to say that we had a truly special Khmer New Year celebration at The Giving Tree 🇰🇭

Students took part in performances, explored traditional Khmer games, and discovered local food not just as activities, but as part of understanding the culture they are part of.

Moments like these matter. They give students a chance to experience traditions in a real and engaging way, while bringing the whole school community together.

We wish all our families a joyful Khmer New Year and a wonderful, restful school break ✨

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this celebration meaningful and memorable.

Our Primary 6 students recently celebrated the end of their Unit of Inquiry with a meaningful and inspiring project focused on Sharing the Planet.

Through this unit, students explored how access to resources and opportunities shapes a fair and balanced society - and most importantly, how their own actions can make a difference.

As part of their learning, they organised a Sustainable Fashion Show, designing creative outfits from recycled and reusable materials. This was their way of raising awareness about caring for the environment, reducing waste, and understanding the impact of fast fashion.

The celebration also included a variety of student-led fundraising activities, from food stalls to handmade items and secondhand clothing. These initiatives showcased not only creativity and teamwork, but also a strong sense of responsibility and compassion.

✨ A portion of the funds raised will be donated to a charity chosen by the students - a meaningful step in turning learning into real action.

At The Giving Tree, learning goes beyond the classroom. Our students are encouraged to think, care, and take action as true learners.
