Cambodia-based dance and theatre collective searching new ways of performing, learning and teaching. Eureka Space, Music Arts School, Eric’s place
CS likes to gather artists from various territories and backgrounds, each with his/her own pace
Each step these nomads make together, either ephemeral or a sustainable one, brings creative energy to the fields of performance, education and production. This collective offers a contained space where its participants can develop their work. The common language and methodology used by CS is "improvisa
tion". Improvisation is the means by which participants can meet each other on a common ground. CS currently organizes workshops, classes and jams in Phnom Penh. Collaborations/projects in 2012 & 2013 :

WHERE YOU COME FROM
Street Cabaret
In a cold cold winter
a mother, father and two little girls
started off for a long trip. Nothing more but two big bags,
was all they could carry
on the road far from home. But they needed no more
for it was hot and sweaty
under the banana palm tree. In a new land
it happened that
the guitar learned new songs
the adventures went along with new movements
and thoughts became as big as never before

CARNIVAL
A small & beautiful performance from a collaboration between 2 theatre troupes from 2 different parts of the world; Moradokmai Theatre Troupe, Thailand & Oshono Theatre Group, Romania. It's the story of something in common among human beings in a world of capitalism. No matter which part of the world they live, they can not avoid confrontation of ignorance or the condition without knowledge and losing of one's self. www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMVL-nw5cwg

We'll have a special and beautiful dance session this Saturday 25th Oct, 8.30pm-9.45pm at F3, Phnom Penh. You are welcome to join us : https://www.facebook.com/share/16bmCXkhER/
🌍 Gaga for Peace & Justice — Online Class with Ohad Naharin
This Saturday, Common Sole invites you to join a special online Gaga dance class led by Ohad Naharin, the founder of this unique movement language — and we’re delighted to host it at Creative Generation at F3!
🕺 Whether you’re a dancer or simply curious about movement, Gaga welcomes everyone — no dance experience needed. The class encourages you to listen to your body and explore movement through joy, freedom, and awareness.
This global event gathers people from around the world to move together for a cause: supporting peace and justice in Israel and Palestine through the organization Standing Together — a grassroots movement uniting Jewish and Palestinian citizens of Israel against the war and the occupation, and for peace, equality, and social and climate justice.
💜 The total participation fee for the class is $45, which will be donated to Standing Together. Participants are invited to contribute toward this total — give what you can. If there’s extra, it will go to the hosting space.
🕢 Schedule:
8:30–9:45pm — short introduction followed by a 45-min online class
📍 Location: Creative Generation at F3, Street 13
⚠️ Space is limited! Please confirm your spot by messaging Common Sole: https://www.facebook.com/CommonSoleCambodia
Do you want to shake your bones, muscles, and fluids? We’ll be joining an online Gaga dance class given by the founder of the discipline, Ohad Naharin, this Saturday evening.
The fees (45$) of the class will benefit to Standing Together organisation. It’s cool if you can contribute with a donation, but don’t feel restricted by this. If there is extra money, it will go to the hosting space. If there is less, we’ll cover.
The 45-minute online class will be taught from Tel Aviv, so at 9pm local time, and joined by people all around the world.
Be on the mat at 8.30pm for a quick introduction/warm-up.
Gaga dance is inclusive and blooms in mixed groups. You don't need dance skills to join, just curiosity and a lust for life!
⏱️: 8.15pm-9.45pm
📍: F3 (Friends Future Factory), Street 13,
✅: Please kindly confirm your presence as the number of spots is limited
A project beyond our expectations,
a powerful story conveyed by fully committed actors,
a wave of truthful emotions,
an odyssey in the shape of a ritual for the dead and the living 🔥🌊
