💡 About the study
Digital health is rapidly transforming health systems globally, and Cambodia is no exception. This integrative review explores how digital technologies are being integrated into nursing practice, education, and policy within Cambodia.
The study highlights both progress and challenges, including:
-Uneven adoption of digital health tools in nursing practice
-Limited and fragmented integration of digital competencies in nursing education
-System-level barriers such as infrastructure gaps, low digital literacy, and weak interoperability
-Influence of donor-driven and fragmented digital systems
-Emerging opportunities such as telehealth, simulation-based education, and national competency frameworks

🌍 Key message
While Cambodia is making important progress in digital health transformation, sustainable success requires stronger governance, standardized nursing digital competencies, improved infrastructure, and coordinated national strategies.

Nurses play a central role in this transformation—not only as users of digital systems but as key drivers of innovation and quality improvement in healthcare delivery.

Community Clerkship on Health System Orientation for Bachelor of Pharmacy Students, Foundation Year, Batch 15, Academic Year 2025-2026.

The Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Puthisastra, organized a Community Clerkship Orientation for Bachelor of Pharmacy students in Foundation Year Batch 15 under the chairmanship of Asst. Prof. Chhea Sophearom, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Dr. Oeung Sopheap, Deputy Dean for Clinical Affairs. The event was attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, staff members, and approximately 150 students.

The community clerkship is scheduled to take place from June 24 to June 27, 2026 at Kandal province.

The orientation course was conducted to provide students with essential information regarding the community clerkship program, including the health system, drug management systems, and medical device management. In addition, students were informed about the activities, assignments, and requirements that must be completed in accordance with the new curriculum.

- និស្សិតឱសថសាស្រ្តចំនួន ២៦រូប នឹងចូលរួម វគ្គសិក្សារដូវក្តៅអន្តរជាតិ៖ Tranditional Medicine Meet AI, Rooted in heritages, Driven by Innovations.
- និស្សិតឱសថសាស្រ្តចំនួន ៤រូប នឹងចូលរួមវគ្គសិក្សារដូវក្តៅអន្តរជាតិផ្នែកឱសថសាស្រ្ត នៅ Universitas Sumatera Utara ប្រទេសឥណ្ឌូនេស៊ី ។

កិច្ចប្រជុំនេះបានផ្តល់ឱកាសសម្រាប់ថ្នាក់ដឹកនាំសាកលវិទ្យាល័យដើម្បីផ្តល់ការណែនាំ ចែករំលែកលទ្ធផលរំពឹងទុក និងលើកទឹកចិត្តនិស្សិតដែលត្រូវបានជ្រើសរើសតំណាងឱ្យសាកលវិទ្យាល័យពុទ្ធិសាស្ត្រនៅក្នុងកម្មវិធីផ្លាស់ប្តូរការសិក្សា និងស្រាវជ្រាវអន្តរជាតិទាំងនេះ។

Pre-Departure Meeting for 67 Master in Medical Biology and Bachelor of Pharmacy Students Participating in International Exchange Programs and Research Conferences in Malaysia and Indonesia

Phnom Penh, June 12, 2026 — The Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Puthisastra, organized a pre-departure meeting for 67 Master in Medical Biology and Bachelor of Pharmacy Students who were selected to participate in various international exchange programs and research conferences in Malaysia and Indonesia.

The meeting was presided over by Prof. Ian Rouse, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Puthisastra and attended by university leaders, faculty members, staff, and students, with approximately 80 participants in total.

The selected students will represent the University of Puthisastra in the following international programs:
• 1 master in medical biology student will present at the 12th International Conference on Public Health (ICOPH 2026), Bali, Indonesia.
• 36 pharmacy students will join the Academic Visit Programme at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia.
• 26 pharmacy students will participate in the International Summer Course: Traditional Medicine Meets AI – Rooted in Heritages, Driven by Innovations ( Both Onsite and online plateforms)
• 4 pharmacy students will participate in the International Summer Course in Pharmacy at Universitas Sumatera Utara, Indonesia.

The meeting provided an opportunity for university leaders to offer guidance, share expectations, and encourage students as they prepare to represent the University of Puthisastra in these international academic, research, and cultural exchange activities. The participants were encouraged to uphold the university’s values, strengthen international collaboration, and gain meaningful experiences that will contribute to their professional and personal development.
