We were incredibly privileged to partner the for Life Cambodia and for Fathering Singapore in their programs: ICAN Workshop and the Train-The-Trainer Programs in the past week!

Led by trainers Say, Lim, and founder Choy, the sessions focused on equipping participants with practical tools and perspectives on how fathers can build stronger relationships with their children and become more intentional in their parenting journey. It was heartening to see the dads give each other fatherly hugs and exchange stories about their personal parenting journeys.

Through discussions, reflection activities, and shared experiences, the committed fathers deepened their self-awareness and learnt the important role fathers play in shaping identity, emotional well-being, values, and family culture across generations. We hope that they will continue to apply and pass forward the learning they have gained to benefit generations!

One of the things we strongly believe at Brighton Academy is that exposure shapes aspiration. Sometimes, stepping onto a university campus, hearing real stories, and asking honest questions can quietly expand a young person’s vision for their future.

We recently concluded a series of staff trainings in partnership with the Department of Global Engagement & Partnerships (DGEP) at the University of Technology & Entrepreneurship (UTE).

Held over three Saturday mornings, Coaches Oh, Phann and Chan brought the university staff together for practical learning, discussion, and reflection on the topics of personal awareness, effective communication and teamwork. The participants were actively engaged in conversations around collaboration, leadership, and personal growth within the higher education environment. It was encouraging to see the youthful team focused on strengthening their professional effectiveness and workplace capabilities.

This March, Brighton Academy Asia was honoured to partner Isaiah Cambodia for a community outreach in Phnom Penh, Cambodia together with our Singaporean youth volunteers and Cambodian university volunteers from the National University of Management (NUM) and the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT).

Cheers to the incredible staff team at Isaiah Cambodia, led by Huot and Soo, in their good work supporting marginalised children and families through education, holistic development programmes, and community engagement. Your work with the community is a lighthouse in drastically challenging conditions.

Over the two days, our Singaporean and Cambodian volunteers gave of their time and talent through the children’s programmes and the re-painting of Isaiah’s premises. It was heartening to see the youth volunteers grow in their compassion for the community, and especially how they connected with the underprivileged children over music and dance, sports and learning!

We were especially thankful for our English–Khmer interpreters who enabled communication and connection across cultures, ensuring that both volunteers and children could engage meaningfully with one another. Special shout-out to organizers Chan, Phann, Oh and volunteers Heang, Kolthida, NUTH, Serey, Chhorng Kry

Our first Brighton Businessowners Panel was held during the Methodist School of Cambodia (MSC) industry field trip! We welcomed business owners Ms Theary Chen (Khatteya Handicrafts Cambodia), Mr Kounthea Im (KD Rice Cambodia), and Ms Molula Motuba (Hope Farms Lesotho) who shared candid perspectives on building businesses, navigating challenges, and sustaining long-term growth. The session was conducted in Khmer and English, with simultaneous interpretation support by MSC alumna Ms Helen Sakhan, ensuring inclusive discussion by our Cambodian and Singaporean students. We also introduced the Business Model Canvas as a practical framework for structuring business ideas and gave an opportunity for the cross-cultural student teams to discuss application of their business ideas.

Last month, we hosted Grade 11 students from the Methodist School of Cambodia on immersive industry field trips designed to bridge classroom learning with real-world business and professional environments.

The visit included:
(1) Exposure to advanced manufacturing at the –Japan Digital Manufacturing Centre
(2) Insights into healthcare operations at -Specialists Medical Centre
(3) Practical entrepreneurship discussions through our first Brighton Businessowners Panel

Students had the opportunity to hear directly from business leaders, ask thoughtful questions, and explore career pathways aligned with their interests. The experience encouraged curiosity, self-awareness, and intentional thinking about future education and career choices, while fostering meaningful connections beyond the classroom with our Singaporean university volunteers!

Brighton Academy Asia was privileged to contribute to Empowered Youth Leadership Conference (EYLC) Phnom Penh 2025! EYLC Cambodia brought together 210 enthusiastic youth delegates for a full day of learning, reflection, and inspiration. The conference featured nine dynamic sessions, combining keynote speeches, interactive workshops, mentor engagement, and moments of shared joy and connection.

We mobilised 18 career mentors, who supported participants in developing their Personal Development Plans, taking action to shape their future! Through practical insights and personal reflection, the young leaders were able to reflect on their strengths, clarify their aspirations, and take concrete steps toward purposeful growth.
