ខាងក្រោមនេះជាការសិក្សាលើកដំបូងអំពីការប៉ាន់ប្រមាណចំនួនដំរីអាស៊ីនៅតំបន់ទំនាបភាគខាងជើងនៃប្រទេសកម្ពុជា។
ការសិក្សានេះធ្វើឡើងដោយមានការសហការរវាង អង្គការសត្វព្រៃ និងរុក្ខជាតិប្រចាំនៅកម្ពុជា ជាមួយនឹងក្រសួងបរិស្ថានកម្ពុជា ដោយប្រើបច្ចេកទេសប្រមូលយក DNA ដែលមិនបង្ករអោយមានការប៉ះពាល់ដល់សត្វ។
ការស្រាវជ្រាវអំពី DNA នេះត្រូវបានធ្វើការសិក្សាវិភាគដោយមន្ទីពិសោធន៍អភិរក្សសេនេទិចនៃដេប៉ាតឺម៉ង់ជីវវិទ្យា នៅសាកលវិទ្យាល័យភូមិន្ទភ្នំពេញ ដោយមានការគាំទ្រផ្នែកបច្ចេកទេសពី RZSS WildGenes។

👉🏻សត្វដំរីអាស៊ីចំនួន 51 ក្បាលត្រូវបានរកឃើញមានការរស់នៅក្នុងតំបន់នេះ​ គេបានបង្ហាញទៀតថាពួកវាមានភាពសម្បូរបែប DNA ដែលជាកត្តាដ៏សំខាន់សម្រាប់ការរស់រានមានជីវិតរយៈពេលវែង។​

As technology advances, conservation genetics continues to be a powerful tool in saving endangered species. With technical support from the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, we generated comprehensive genetic diversity data for Asian elephants in Cambodia. This vital information will significantly enhance the effectiveness of the conservation program of this animal species and their habitats as well as providing the meaningful knowledge sharing among researchers, students, faculty.
