The Rev. Dr. C. Lee Irons has arrived at our campus and will be teaching The Theology of Romans next week, from Tuesday to Friday, for ThM students. Audit students are also welcome to register.
Dr. Charles Lee Irons is a New Testament scholar with a focus on the letters and theology of Paul. He completed his Ph.D. at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California under Donald Hagner and Seyoon Kim. His dissertation is on The Righteousness of God, it was a lexical examination of the claim that dikaiosyne theou in Paul means “God’s covenant faithfulness.” His dissertation was also published with the same title by Mohr Siebeck in 2015. Prior to his Ph.D., he studied with Meredith G. Kline at Westminster Seminary California. His undergraduate work was in classical Greek at UCLA. He was a Senior Research administrator at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles until 2024. At present he is a Church Planting Pastor at Santa Clarita United Reformed Church in California. He is also the author of A Syntax Guide for Readers of the Greek New Testament (Kregel Academic, 2016).
Dr. Jeong Koo Jeon is a Korean-American minister, poet, professor, theologian, thinker, and writer. He received his B.S in Humanities at Johns Hopkins University; M.A.R and M.Div. at Westminster Seminary California; Ph.D. at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. He served as a Visiting Fellow at Yale University Divinity School, and Visiting Scholar at Duke Divinity School and Westminster Theological Seminary. He is a Professor of Biblical and Systematic Theology at Faith Theological Seminary in Catonsville, Maryland, and an ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).
