The Glocator Statement on the Thailand-Cambodia Border Conflict 2025
The most recent conflict between Thailand and Cambodia has deeply affected innocent and vulnerable Cambodian citizens residing in border areas. Thousands of people, including pregnant women, the elderly, children, persons with disabilities, and entire families have been urgently evacuated to safety zones. In the rush to escape danger, many were forced to leave behind their homes, belongings, and daily lives, with no clear sense of when, or if, they will be able to return.
This sudden displacement has placed an already vulnerable population into even more precarious circumstances.
At The Glocator, we stand firmly for peace, safety, and dignity for all people, especially the elderly, children, women, and marginalized communities. These are not just statistics; they are our people, and our future.
We call upon our partners, civil society, and the wider community to come together in solidarity and support the Royal Government of Cambodia’s, represented by ក្រសួងសង្គមកិច្ច អតីតយុទ្ធជន និងយុវនីតិសម្បទា - Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation efforts to provide emergency relief, psychosocial support, and long-term solutions for affected populations.
Together, we can ensure that no one is left behind in times of crisis.
