So Thailand wants to sue Cambodia over landmines at the ICC? Wait... ICC? Isn’t that the court for going after people, not states?
Cambodia is a state, not a person. So if Thailand really wants to sue Cambodia, it should go to the ICJ — not the ICC.

The real focus here is the border dispute, and guess what? That’s the ICJ’s job.
Sure, Thailand hasn’t accepted ICJ jurisdiction since 1960—maybe because they lost the Preah Vihear Temple case with Cambodia and don’t want to repeat that history. But all it takes is a “Yes” from Thailand, and Cambodia is ready to bring it on.

Solve the border problem, and suddenly a lot of other headaches disappear. Less fighting, less damage, more street food and family time for everyone.

They’re old stuff leftover from Cambodia’s civil war. Cambodia’s Civil War means war within Cambodia’s own territory. Clear enough?

If Thai soldiers were injured by stepping on them, we are so sorry. We would never want that to happen. We know this pain all too well, as thousands of Cambodians have suffered from landmines for years, even after the war was over.

So please don’t sneak across the border like it’s a secret treasure hunt. Cambodia is very welcoming. When the border opens, come with a passport and go through customs — not like a recon mission.
