πŸ‘¨β€πŸ« Mr. Prum Sovathy, a senior chemistry teacher from Svay Rieng High School, recently reflected on his experience after participating in a 5-day Continuous Professional Development (CPD) workshop for STEM education.

πŸ’¬ Reflecting on the experience, he shared:
β€œI gained a lot of new knowledge to further develop my professional skills. I am happy to apply this knowledge in my classroom and share it with other teachers in my school. I hope there will be more CPD workshops for STEM education.”

After the training, he returned to his classroom with new ideas and a renewed vision for teaching. Through the workshop, he strengthened his skills in curriculum design, backward planning, and student-centered pedagogy, while exploring digital tools and innovative approaches to support learning.

✨ What he learned and applied:
- Designing detailed curriculum with clear learning outcomes and assessments
- Applying Backward Design to improve lesson planning
- Creating interdisciplinary and connected classrooms
- Using digital platforms such as Google Classroom, Forms, Sheets, Docs, and Slides
- Exploring AI tools including ChatGPT and Gemini
- Supporting diverse learners through Interactive Video (H5P) and PhET simulations

🌱 His journey shows how continuous learning empowers teachers to transform knowledge into real classroom practice and create meaningful learning experiences for students.

The seminar officially began on February 2, bringing together STEM teachers for a hands-on first day focused on integrating technology into teaching and learning.

highlighting the importance of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in strengthening teachers’ professional growth and career pathways.

πŸ“š Day 1 Highlights - Integration of Technology for Teaching and Learning

On the first day, participating teachers engaged in structured, hands-on sessions focused on integrating technology into classroom practice, including:

● An opening session and pre-test to assess teachers’ baseline understanding and readiness
● An overview of the 5-day STEP UP CPD program, including objectives and learning outcomes
● Introduction to the STTC App as the main online CPD learning platform
● Hands-on practice in creating Google accounts and setting up Google Classroom for lesson delivery and homework submission
● Exploration of digital learning resources such as Khan Academy (optional) and the CDP platform
● Practice in creating interactive learning videos using H5P to support digital and blended learning approaches

A total of 125 teachers from 15 high schools across 8 provinces are participating in this training.

Pre-Stage Online Session Completed with 125 Inspiring Teachers!

On January 28th, we officially kicked off the STEP UP CPD 5th seminar.

It was incredible to see 125 educators from 15 high schools come together online, across Math, Biology, Chemistry, ES, and Physics groups.

Our educators were introduced to their Curriculum Literacy through pre-learning, and they mastered how to use the STTC App for self-directed online study.
