When we don’t pause, our bodies and minds eventually make us stop. 🛑

Imagine feeling deeply rested in your muscles and your soul. Calm in your mind. Still—without guilt. ✨

One way I’ve learned to rest is through loving-kindness meditation, a practice I began nearly 20 years ago. We would start by sending love to someone we cherish, then to a friend, then to a colleague—or even someone who had upset us in some way—because all are worthy of kindness. ❤️

Finally, we sent loving kindness out into the world. Once, someone chose pigeons. I laughed then… now I understand. Every living being could use a little more peace. 🕊️

Today, I still return to this practice—sometimes on my balcony, watching the sky change, sometimes simply listening to my breath wherever I am. ☁️

So, let’s pause. Let’s send kindness to our people, to those who challenge us, and to the wider world. 🌍

✨ May you be well. ✨ May you feel peace. ✨ May you feel joy.

So, grab your journal and a relaxing drink. Gift yourself some time to celebrate, cry, and learn from 2025 before leaving it behind. ☕️

It’s not about what went well—it’s about where your time and energy are going. ⚖️

Take 3-5 minutes to browse your year. Relive the wins and sit with the frustrations. Then, dive deeper with these 5 questions: 📝
1️⃣ What were my greatest successes and failures, and what caused them?
2️⃣ What (or who) filled me with joy and purpose?
3️⃣ What (or who) had a negative impact on me?
4️⃣ What opportunities did I miss and why?
5️⃣ What beliefs did I let go of?

But we’re not quite finished. Ask yourself: What wisdom will I carry forward into 2026? 🧠

🌾 Returning to my Province 🏠

It’s the holiday season and a new year is approaching. ✨

A time for reconnecting and giving our care, love, and presence to others. I think those are the greatest gifts. 🎁💓

As I pass this beautiful scenery, I look forward to being with family and old friends. 🌳🛣️

Let’s spread some loving kindness through our small moments today. Forget your phone and stop thinking—immerse yourself in the other person. 📵 See them in detail, notice their breathing, feel their emotions, listen deeply, and just be with them. 🧘‍♂️🤝

Some of us are regularly surrounded by family and friends, some have to make trips to share time together, but wherever you are and whoever you’re with, enjoy. 🥂✨

Giving to others is like giving to yourself; the benefits are numerous and mutual. 🤲💫

I can’t believe we’re fighting. 🙏 People are dieing , getting injured, leaving their homes, and having tattooed on their minds loss, uncertainty and pain. 🥺Why? Didn’t we all learn in school to put our egos aside, share our thoughts and feelings, listen deeply, discuss ideas, and agree the path forward. No-one needs to get hurt. Talk, talk, talk some more, and keep talking until we see the answer within us.🕊️
I wish our leaders calmness and wisdom and I hope safety and a return to our precious lives comes soon for all those affected.

My Deeper Purpose ✨
A conversation with a friend about following your dreams inspired me to reflect on my own purpose: guiding teachers to come home to themselves. 🏡

Like many, I’ve had my share of feeling lost, unfulfilled, and overwhelmed, even when things looked perfect on the outside. I wasn’t practicing self-care and had forgotten my own power. Now, my greatest wish is to help other educators and leaders reconnect with their power and lead with clarity and intention. 💖

I know the daily pressures teachers face—constantly pouring from an empty cup. The idea that you can just “rest in the summer” isn’t care; it’s burnout disguised as a tradition.

We all deserve to be well, and choosing wellness now is the best role model we can be.
