Summary:
Despite surviving Cambodia’s civil war, the Preah Suramarit National Theatre was destroyed by fire in 1994 and remains unrestored. Today, within its ruins, artists continue to rehearse and perform, reflecting Cambodia’s rich cultural past and the ongoing struggles of its artists.
The Burnt Theatre is a moving film about cultural memory, artistic resilience, and the continuing life of the arts amid the ruins of a once-great national theatre.

Summary:
Farmer Yong Poeuv and his wife struggle to support their large family through rice farming, earning barely enough to survive. When his wife is bitten by a cobra and he suffers an injury, their fragile livelihood is put at risk. Despite these hardships, his wife bravely continues working the fields with their daughters, showing resilience in the face of uncertainty.
