Calling ASEAN & Japanese Candidates!

The ASEAN Youth Economic Forum 2026 (AYEF) is a youth-led platform that promotes innovation, collaboration, and policy dialogue between ASEAN and Japan.

AYEF 2026 aims to strengthen the resilience and competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the region, with the theme of โ€œBuilding Resilient Futures: Youth-Driven Innovations for ASEAN-Japan SME Growth.โ€

AYEF 2026 will bring together over 350 youth leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and experts to discuss digital transformation, sustainable growth, and inclusive economic recovery in line with the ASEAN-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The forum will culminate in the ASEAN Youth Policy Paper on SME Resilience and Innovation, featuring youth-led recommendations for future cooperation.

This project is administered by the Australian Government Department of Education through the International Education Innovation Fund (IEIF), delivered in partnership with the RMIT Asia Hub.

Recipients will have the opportunity to expand their professional networks and have access to leading academics, facilities, and equipment in Australia to develop their own research interests and competencies.

This opportunity will build long term commercially oriented research partnerships between ASEAN members and Australia.
