Visākha Day Message to the World

In the Spirit of Peace, Prosperity, and Happiness

On this sacred day of Visākha , we gather in honor of the birth, enlightenment, and passing of the Buddha—three great events united in the life of one extraordinary being. Today, more than a celebration, it is a reminder and a call to awaken the timeless wisdom the Buddha offered to humanity.

The Buddha taught us that peace begins within. In a world troubled by conflict, division, and suffering, his message remains clear and profound:
“Avoid evil, do good, and purify the mind. This is the teaching of all the Buddhas.”

To find peace, let us cultivate compassion and loving-kindness toward all beings, without distinction, understanding that all human beings are through Samsara (unaccountable cycles of lives) their own relatives.
To find peace and prosperity, let us walk the Middle Path, choosing balance over excess, wisdom over ignorance.

To find happiness, let us understand that true joy arises not from material wealth but from a heart free of hatred, greed, and delusion.

May this Visākha Day inspire all people—regardless of faith or background—to live with mindfulness, speak with truth, and act with intention. In doing so, we plant the seeds of wisdom in a more peaceful and harmonious world.

May all beings be well. May all beings be happy. May all beings be free.
