As always, I had a beautiful Mother’s Day. My heart is full of gratitude. I thank God for my amazing children, Kim and Kris, who continue to make me proud through their love, strength, leadership, and the lives they touch. Being your mother has been one of the greatest honors of my life.
I am also deeply grateful for the thousands of Cambodian children who have become part of my heart over the years, along with the many sons and daughters God has connected to my life across the world. Some I carried physically, others I carried through prayer, leadership, encouragement, teaching, and love. Motherhood is not only biological, sometimes it is spiritual, emotional, and purpose connected.
Watching so many of you grow, lead, overcome obstacles, build families, pursue education, serve others, and discover purpose has brought me incredible joy. Thank you for allowing me to speak into your lives, cheer for you, pray for you, and believe in you.
To every child, student, leader, and young person who has ever called me Mom Karen, thank you. You have blessed my life more than you know.
I do not take this responsibility lightly. I am honored to be your mom, your mentor, your encourager, and someone who will always remind you that your life matters and your purpose is greater than your circumstances.
With love, pride, and gratitude always,
Mom Karen
