This year, WALS, the World Association of Lesson Studies, warmly invites you to share your ideas around lesson study with a global audience—all from the comfort of your home. With the conference online this year, please note there are a few differences in registration and proposal submission.

NELS (New and Experienced Lesson Study) Network, of the American Educational Research Association will host a webinar Monday March 2 at 3 PM Pacific time. We will use our recently published book as a springboard to discuss: How do we sustain and spread Lesson Study? The book is Teaching Powerful Problem-solving in Mathematics: A Collaborative Approach Through Lesson Study (Teachers College Press, 2025) by Catherine Lewis, Akihiko Takahashi, Shelley Friedkin, Nora Houseman, and Sara Liebert. Authors will share key points, so reading the book in advance is not essential. If interested, please sign up at the link below.
