On October 9, the Academic Advising Office organized a guest lecture with outstanding educator of our time Gapyr Madaminov. Gapyr Madaminov is an honored teacher of the Kyrgyz Republic, a Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, and a laureate of the Order of Manas.

Brief Biography: On his own initiative, in 1996, he opened an experimental gymnasium in the village of Jany-Jer,located in Leylek district of the Batken region. He is the author of teaching
methodologies such as Culture of Intellectual Labor and Thinking – Outlook. Founder of the School of Motherhood. A teacher-experimenter, based on his experiments, he has written more than 17 books. The prototype of the main character in the film serial “Агай” by Ruslan Akun.

During the lecture, Gapyr agay presented his methodological book Culture of Intellectual Labor, which guides students on effective ways to learn and acquire knowledge. He highlighted the importance of collaboration between educational institutions and parents in a student’s education. This approach has been successful not only in his own school but also in other institutions that have adopted it.

Madaminov argues that one of the reasons students show less interest in reading is because there is no reading culture in our society. As a result, students don’t know how to read effectively or develop proper reading techniques. He advises each parent to have their own library at home and read books to set a good example for their children, instilling them a love of reading, while his teaching methodologies help students condense large amount of material and extract the most information from it.
