VISIT OF DIPLOMATS TO MMU
Mrs. Fal Beata, and guest lecturer Bernadette Tamashi, the International Medical University (MMU) was visited by the First Secretary, Diplomat for Education and Culture of the Embassy of Hungary in the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the meeting, the leadership of the MSU and representatives of the diplomatic mission discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation in the spheres of education, academic exchange and the development of international relations. The parties have expressed mutual interest in strengthening the partnership and implementing joint educational initiatives.
During the visit, guests got acquainted with the gallery of Nobel Prize laureates presented at the university. Special attention was paid to Hungarian scientists and physicians, who made significant contributions to the development of world science and medicine. The delegation expressed sincere gratitude and appreciation to the management of MSU for preserving historical memory and popularizing the achievements of prominent scientists.
A special event of the visit was the meeting with medical students. Mrs. Fal Beata told future doctors about the great Hungarian scientist and doctor Ignace Zemmelweiss - one of the founders of antiseptics and infection control in medicine.
Ignace Zemmelweiss went down in history as the "savior of mothers": he was the first scientifically justified the need for medical staff to wash hands and proved that maintaining hygiene significantly reduces the mortality of women born from postpartum infection. His ideas, ahead of its time, have become the foundation of modern preventive medicine and hospital hygiene.
At the end of the meeting, a film dedicated to the life and scientific legacy of Ignatz Zemmelweiss was presented to students. The show took place in Russian and English and aroused lively interest in the audience.
The visit of the delegation of the Hungarian Embassy was an important step in developing international cooperation and strengthening cultural and educational ties between Hungary and the Kyrgyz Republic.
