Posts that solicit funds or promote commercial entities may also be deleted. Kyrgyz Turkish Manas University (KTMU) was founded in 1995 between governments of Turkey and the Kyrgyz Republic. KTMU has become one of the leading universities in both Kyrgyz Republic and the larger Central Asia region. Upon graduating, students receive diplomas recognized in both Turkey and Kyrgyzstan. KTMU provides an access to higher education opportunities that enable students to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve their professional goals, improve the productivity of their organizations and provide leadership and services to their communities. KTMU currently enrolls 4600 students from 16 different countries and 23 different nationalities in a variety of vo-tech, bachelor's, Master's and PhD programs. KTMU has more than 550 well-qualified and experienced academic staff from 7 countries. Education in KTMU is tuition-free and scholarships for living stipends are available. Turkish and Kyrgyz are official languages of education and training at Manas University, and many students take one year of preperatory language study before beginning their course. KMTU aims at developing strong community leaders who can contribute to knowledge in their field and the development of their community. To this end, KMTU also provides numerous academic exchange and international internship opportunities. KMTU also aims at becoming a regional and international center for academic discussion and discovery. The university has four research centers, holds numerous international conferences each year, and has developed strategic partnerships with universities and educational science centers in Russia, Kyrgyzstan, China, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, Portugal, South Korea, Azerbaijan, Turkey, the USA and many other countries. The university also has many ongoing projects in the framework of EU Programmes, scientific research projects with international partner universities and capacity building projects. The university's mission is to educate the youth from all over the world, primarily from the Turkic Republics and Turkic Nations, providing them with a constructive environment that promotes collaborative learning and common understanding so that they may contribute to the world's knowledge, the understanding of greater Turkish Civilization, and their community's development. We aim to train individuals who are competent in knowledge and application of their subject, open to new knowledge and technologies, self-confident, sure in their values and aware of their social responsibilities, and understand their identity within common Turkic culture.
