Meeting with a Representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic

On June 7, 2026, students of the Eastern Medical Campus participated in an informative meeting with Major of Police Aitbaeva I.K., Senior Operative Commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the meeting, important topics such as drug abuse prevention, legal responsibility, personal safety, and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle were discussed. Students actively engaged in the discussion, asked thoughtful questions, and shared their perspectives on issues affecting today’s youth.

The event was conducted in an open dialogue format, providing a valuable opportunity for students to exchange ideas, increase their legal awareness, and gain practical knowledge for making responsible life choices.

The Student Council extends its appreciation to the guest speaker for sharing her expertise and contributing to the development of a safe, informed, and healthy student community.

1st Annual Award Ceremony of the Volunteers Club of ISMIUK

The Volunteers Club of ISMIUK proudly held its 1st Annual Award Ceremony, recognizing the dedication, hard work, and outstanding contributions of its volunteers throughout the year.

Certificates of appreciation were awarded to students by Ms. Guljaz Anarbekovna, Head of the Department of Student Support and Extracurricular Affairs; Dr. Waqar Ahmad Khan, Director of IAAD Educational Advisors; and Mr. Asad Ullah Khan, Founder of the Volunteers Club of ISMIUK.

The ceremony also marked an important leadership transition as Mr. Abdullah Sani was officially appointed as the new Head of the Volunteers Club of ISMIUK for the 2026–2027 term.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all award recipients and wish the new leadership team continued success in advancing the mission of volunteerism, service, and community engagement at ISMIUK.

A New Era of International Partnerships

On 5 June 2026, the Student Council of ISM-IUK proudly marked a significant milestone by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the United Youth Organization (UYO), one of the leading and oldest youth organizations in Kyrgyzstan, renowned for its contributions to youth diplomacy, international cooperation, and global partnerships.

During the meeting, both parties discussed expanding opportunities for young people, supporting student-led initiatives, and enhancing international cooperation. This partnership will create new pathways for ISM-IUK students to engage in international programs, develop leadership skills, broaden their global networks, and gain valuable experience on both national and international platforms.

Together, we look forward to building a future defined by collaboration, innovation, and opportunity.

The Student Council of the International School of Medicine, International University of Kyrgyzstan (ISM IUK), expresses its sincere condolences on the passing of Prof. Dr. Apisa Kushbakeevna Kushbakeeva, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Honored Worker of Healthcare, Honored Worker of Education, and dedicated Head of the Nursing Department.

Apisa Kushbakeevna devoted her life to educating and inspiring future healthcare professionals. Her professionalism, wisdom, and commitment to medical education left a lasting impact on countless students and colleagues.

We extend our heartfelt sympathies to her family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. Her memory and contributions to the medical community will always be remembered with respect and gratitude.

On May 18, 2026, students of the Faculty of Medicine, International University of Kyrgyzstan (IUK), proudly participated in the IV International Olympiad of Morphology and Practical Skills, organized by the Departments of Anatomy, Topographic Anatomy and Operative Surgery, Histology, Embryology, Cytology, and Disaster Medicine held in Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.

The Olympiad brought together 10 universities from Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan, with participation conducted in both English and Russian mediums. The competition included highly challenging theoretical, practical, and clinical stations designed to assess deep academic knowledge, diagnostic reasoning, and applied clinical skills.

Representing IUK under the team name “THE HISTONAUTS,” participants demonstrated strong academic preparation, teamwork, and professionalism, throughout all stages of the Olympiad, among highly competitive international teams, security SECOND PLACE 🥈

We are proud to share that Asad Ullah Khan, a 5th-year medical student of the General Medicine program at the International School of Medicine, International University of Kyrgyzstan (ISMIUK), has been honored with the Best Volunteer of the Year 2025 Award by the NGO Active Volunteers of Kyrgyzstan.
