The ambassador of India congratulated Minister R. Kazakbayev on his appointment to the post of head of the Foreign Ministry of the Kyrgyz Republic, wishing him success and fruitful activity.
During the discussion, the parties discussed topical issues of Kyrgyz-Indian cooperation and outlined the prospects for further discussion. They noted the importance of holding the Cross Year of Culture and Friendship between the Kyrgyz Republic and India in 2021.
In turn, Minister R. Kazakbayev reported on the internal political situation in the Kyrgyz Republic, the upcoming early presidential elections in the Kyrgyz Republic. In addition, the minister expressed gratitude to the Government of India for providing humanitarian assistance in the fight against coronavirus and technical assistance in holding parliamentary elections.
At the end of the meeting, they expressed confidence that the Kyrgyz-Indian relations and strategic partnership will grow stronger and develop in the interests of the peoples of the two states.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of enhancing cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan in the field of science and medicine.
Ambassador E. Beishembiev informed the Pakistani side about the current epidemiological situation in Kyrgyzstan and expressed a request from the Pakistani side to provide possible assistance in supplying the country with the necessary protective equipment and medicines in the fight against Covid-19 infection.
Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement on the exchange of experience on medical issues, as well as the intensification of scientific and technical cooperation between the two countries.
