The possibility of the phased opening of schools and classes for regular study is being considered by the Ministry of Education and Science. The head of the department Kanybek Isakov announced this today on the air of the radio station "Birinchi radio".
According to him, if the epidemiological situation in the country improves, the Ministry of Education will not wait for the beginning of the second quarter and will begin to resume the work of schools as usual, but in stages.
The official said that the classes will be opened in stages, in what order it is still unknown.
Kanybek Isakov noted that cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in schools in the United States and Germany, where children began to study offline. Classes began to be closed there.
“So we think, if we open it, will the children get sick? This is our responsibility, ”he said.
The head of the relevant department also touched upon the issue of private schools. According to him, there are many requests from parents and heads of these educational institutions to allow classes.
Kanybek Isakov believes that the decision should be made by the government. “If there are few children in such a class, if there are medical personnel, then perhaps we can allow them to work? However, the Cabinet of Ministers believes that the requirements for everyone should be the same, ”he commented.
There are 139 private schools in Kyrgyzstan today.
We will remind, earlier the officials made a decision that from September 1 only pupils of the first grades will be trained in schools. Students in grades 2-11 in the first quarter of the new academic year will continue their studies remotely.
