LESSON: SELF-DELIVERANCE FROM CURSES AND DEMONS
PROVERBS 6:5 (NKJV)
5 Deliver yourself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, And like a bird from the hand of the fowler.
》Many believers struggle with curses and the power of demons, mostly due to the things they did or issues from their family lineage.
》However, the scriptures fugitively speak of the need to save ourselves from these curses and demonic influences.

2 Corinthians 10:3 (NKJV) For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
》We punish all disobedience when our obedience is perfected.

NINE (9) R'S OF SELF-DELIVERANCE

#1. RECOGNISE

》Recognise the negative effects of the curse or demonic influence.
》Identify the exact issue that you need deliverance from. WRITE ✍️ IT DOWN.
》Recognise that God can deliver you from these negative influences.
PSALMS 34:4 (NKJV)
4 I sought the LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears.
》When we seek The LORD He will deliver us from our fears and challenges.

#2. REPENT

》Repeant your own sins and that have contributed to your conditions.
》Repent the sins of others, especially your parents and forefathers.

#3. RENOUNCE
|_____________________|
》Verbally renounce and disconnect yourself from the specific curse, demonic influence, or negative characteristics.
》 Refuse to continue to abide under their negative influence.

#4. RELEASE YOURSELF
|_____________________|
》Relase yourself from the challenges in the name of Our LORD Jesus Christ.
》If you are not able to release yourself on your own, please seek the help of a spiritual authority.
》Just like Joseph, some sins you only need to run away from it.
Genesis 39:10 (NKJV)
10 So it was, as she spoke to Joseph day by day, that he did not heed her, to lie with her or to be with her. 11 But it happened about this time, when Joseph went into the house to do his work, and none of the men of the house was inside, 12 that she caught him by his garment, saying, “Lie with me.” But he left his garment in her hand, and fled and ran outside.
》There is power in the name of Jesus Christ.

#5. RESIST

MATTHEW 12:43 (NKJV)
43 “When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. 44 Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. 45 Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.”
JAMES 4:7 (NKJV)
7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

COLOSSIANS 3:16-17 (NKJV)
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

#7. RENEW YOUR MIND

》Most of our spiritual battles are fought and won or lost in our minds.
ROMANS 12:2 (NKJV)
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by renewing your mind so that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

#8. REMAIN ROOTED IN THE LORD

[A] Be rooted in Christ
COLOSSIANS 2:6 (NKJV)
6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.
[B] Find a spiritual home where you can be rooted and raised.
》 Belong to a fellowship where you will be taught the full gospel of our LORD.
》Where you will be nurtured, raised, and disciplined.
》Don't be a spiritual nomad... find a good spiritual home.
EXAMPLE: Trees 🌳 🌳 planted in a tree nursery are planted in plastic paper bags, but for the trees to thrive, they must be removed from the plastic bag and planted on fertile ground.

#9. REMOVE OBJECTS

》Remove any objects that will keep you bound in the curse and challenges.
》Some objects become the point of contact to your negative past.
》Remove Objects, Relationships, Idols, Books, Artefacts, Photos, Letters, Apps, Unholy Relationships (ex-boyfriends or ex-girlfriends)
May you achieve and keep your self-deliverance.
