Indian Ocean Maritime Training Centre IOMTC Watamu Kenya We provide professional training to international standards for seafarers of merchant ships, super yachts, the oil & gas industry and the leisure industry.

We are offering STCW '95 Basic Safety Training which is mandatory for all seafarers at the Indian Ocean Maritime Training Centre Watamu in Kenya. The list will be extended once we have been able to assess demand for further courses. Perhaps it is important to emphasize here that our training will be largely practical and is designed to conform to the requirements of the Maritime and Coastguard Age

ncy in the UK. Other courses that we are looking to add on in the future, if demand exists, will include:
Advanced Fire Fighting
OPITO Courses
Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Boats
Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats
Proficiency in Designated Security Duties

The duration of training is 1 week and for revalidation 2days. We are using the most advanced equipment SOLAS approved. For more information kindly visit our website www.maritimetraining.co.ke

After a 2 year Covid break we finally conducted our first STCW course of 2022. All 6 students did exceptionally well and overcame all the challenges the training threw at them. For the first time ever we had more female than male candidates, a much welcome development, more so with the international Woman’s day falling on the second training day!

A big thanks to the entire group for making this course a success!
