It is with deep sadness that we receive the news of the passing of Ahmed Owlamow, one of the watchmen in our school. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, relatives, friends, and the entire ILEYS fraternity during this difficult time.
May Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him Jannatul Firdaus, and give patience and strength to all who are mourning his loss.
Allahumma ighfir lahu, warhamhu, wa ‘afihi, wa’fu ‘anhu, wa adkhilhu al-jannah. Ameen.

On behalf of the Ileys fraternity, we extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and parents on the passing of our former student, Fatuma Ahmed (ADM 001), who completed her studies at Ileys Secondary in 2023. She was pursuing her dream of becoming a nurse as a second-year student at KMTC. A very young and promising soul has left us too soon.

We pray that Allah ﷻ grants her Jannatul Firdaus and showers His infinite mercy upon her soul. May He also grant her parents, family, and loved ones patience, strength, and comfort during this painful and difficult time.

It is truly heartbreaking to lose such a bright and hopeful young life. May Allah ﷻ make her grave spacious and filled with light, forgive her shortcomings, and reunite her with her loved ones in the hereafter.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We would like to officially inform you that today, Tuesday, we have closed school for Term 2 of the year 2025. We sincerely thank you for your continued support throughout the term.

As our students head home for the holiday, we strongly encourage them to carry their books and engage in meaningful revision. This break is an important opportunity for them to reflect on what they have learned, improve where necessary, and prepare for the final term of the academic year.

We also take this opportunity to advise our students to stay away from immoral behavior such as drug abuse, peer pressure, vandalism (taharib), and other negative influences. We urge you as parents to guide and monitor them closely during this period.

We wish all our learners and teachers safe journeys and a peaceful, restful holiday.

Please take note that the school will officially reopen on Monday, 25th August 2025, for Term 3.

During the midterm break, one of our student Abdirahman mohamed faced a heartbreaking turn of events after getting injured during a football match. What started as a joyful game ended in tragedy when he suffered a serious injury that led to the amputation of his leg. It was a painful moment for him, his family, and all who knew him.

He was hospitalized for some time, and throughout that difficult period, the school community stood firmly by his side. From the very first day, teachers, students, and the principal made regular visits to check up on him. These were not just visits of comfort. The school also stepped in to assist his family financially during this trying time. Their presence and support brought a sense of hope and warmth when it was needed most.

Led by the compassionate and selfless leadership of our principal, Mr. Ismail Kunow, the school did not stop there. Through the wider Ileys community, a total of KES 120,000 was raised to support the student and his family with medical expenses and daily needs. It was a shining example of what true leadership and unity can achieve when hearts come together.

Though this young boy’s journey has changed forever, he will never walk it alone. His strength, combined with the love and support of the Ileys community, will continue to carry him forward.
