On 17th may 2024, Basir Primary School successfully planted 30 Neem trees, marking a significant step towards environmental conservation and community involvement. The event saw participation from a diverse group of stakeholders, including teachers, the area chief, village elders, and pupils.

The presence of teachers highlighted the educational aspect of the initiative, emphasizing the importance of environmental stewardship to the students. The area chief’s attendance underscored the community’s official support and commitment to sustainable practices. Village elders brought a sense of tradition and wisdom to the occasion, linking the initiative to local heritage and cultural values. Pupils actively participated in the planting process, fostering a sense of responsibility and connection to their environment.

This collaborative effort not only aimed to improve the local ecosystem by increasing green cover but also served as a practical learning experience for the students, teaching them the significance of trees and the role they play in combating climate change and promoting biodiversity. The Neem trees, known for their resilience and medicinal properties, were a fitting choice for this project, symbolizing growth, protection, and health for the community.
