Voi Girls Education Center is a girl high school in Voi which opened its doors in February 2013 with 23 girls as a day school, 15 girls pleaded to the board and a boarding section was started in a classroom. sroom. The first principal was Mary Mwasaru who spearheaded the school from 2013 until 2015. Her successor Shalleth Njoroge joined the school in 2016 and stayed for one (1) year. She was succeeded by Anne Kigo in 2017 and currently in charge. There are 14 Teacher Service Commission (TSC) teachers and 12 Board of Management (BOM) employees. The non-teaching staff are 20 dedicated young men and women. The school has an operational Board of Management and a Parents Teachers Association. The school had the first group of girls (171) sit Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) in 2016. Posting a mean of 2.4 in the Matiangi era.(No mean feat). With two girls getting direct entry to the university. Currently 97 girls are being prepared for 2017 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education. The target is 5.0 or above.
