Governor Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo alongside H.E. Wilberforce Kitiezo - Deputy Governor Vihiga County presided over the induction ceremony of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Centres Board of Governors (BOG) for Vihiga county at Mbale High School today afternoon.

The BOGs are mandated to :-
✅ Overseeing education and training,
✅ Promoting and maintaining standards of high quality in terms of students performance,
✅ Developing and implementing strategic plans,
✅ Mobilizing resources in institutions,
✅ Budgeting ie approval of financial reports,
✅ Preparing annual expenditure reports.

I have urged our TVET Managers to make proper use of the availed funds by County Government of Vihiga to enable us improve on infrastructure and equip the institutions more.

Our able Governor has assured the release of Ksh. 47,000,000 to aid in development and operations of the TVETs.

County Government of Vihiga is placed at the top on matters innovation and technology thanks to the leadership of Governor Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo who is hands on in ensuring the same is well implemented.

Joined my boss and CS Ababu Namwamba as we witnessed 189 youthful residents of our beloved county graduate after a one month vigorous training on technology and ICT courtesy of Huawei

Our department will embark on using the already trained youth to share the same in our Polytechnics for purposes of enriching our learners.

Accompanied H.E. Wilberforce Kitiezo - Deputy Governor Vihiga County to Kaimosi Friends University (KAFU) as H.E Dr. Jafar Barmaki, The Ambassador of The Islamic Republic of Iran to Kenya made a visit to the institution of KAFU.

As a County, we are focused toward establishing exchange programmes and also getting scholarship for our learners in partnership with Iran and am glad to note that the envoy is receptive of the idea.

Currently with my boss Governor Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo at Sabatia Eye Hospital for the Official Launch of The Paediatric Opthalmology Centre & The Training Centre graced by H.E the Prime CS Hon Musalia W Mudavadi and the Health CS Susan Nakhumicha .

The multi-donor project aims at fighting the predominant barriers (Poverty, Awareness & Accesibility) to children accessing eye care services in Western Kenya and its environs.

Our founding fathers made this memorable day come to reality. Let's dance to this.

VICBOSA has a noble course and is a good example to many young and entrepreneurial persons and I have urged them to keep on the same spirit of borrowimg money for investment and remitting it for the sake of benefiting others.

In fulfilment of effective service delivery to the great people of Vihiga County, I have signed my performance contract that will guide my ex*****on of services to help deliver Governor Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo's 5 year agenda.

It is my plan to have all officers under my department work to make Vihiga a more developed county.
