AHITI Kabete proudly participated in the Kenya Meat Conference 2026, held at Chaka Ranch on July 8th and 9th. Under the vital theme, "Connecting Kenya’s Livestock Sector to Global Markets," the conference brought together a high-level assembly of industry stakeholders and Livestock Training Institutes (LTIs) to chart a transformative path for the sector.
We were deeply honored by the presence and address of the Cabinet Secretary, Hon. Sen. Mutahi Kagwe, EGH and the Principal Secretary, Hon. Jonathan Mueke, CBS, whose attendance underscored the government's strong commitment to commercializing the livestock sector and expanding its export footprint to global markets.

We are also thrilled to highlight our Principal, Dr. Samuel G. Mugo, who contributed as an expert panelist on the critical discussion: "Youth in Livestock - Opportunities for Youth in the Meat Value Chain."

Dr. Mugo emphasized the essential role that specialized training and capacity-building play in equipping the youth with the knowledge, skills the right attitude in order to capitalize on emerging market opportunitiesβ€”ranging from enhanced disease control and modern processing techniques to agribusiness leadership.
As a leading Livestock Training Institute, AHITI Kabete remains firmly committed to working alongside the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development and private sector partners to cultivate a skilled, youth-led workforce capable of elevating Kenyan livestock products to competitive global standards.
