Yesterday was our Throwback Thursday-themed Non-Uniform Day, where our students contributed towards a charitable drive and in return, earned themselves a non-uniform day!

Here’s a trip down memory lane. It was an unforgettable experience at the World School Games in London! Held at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the event brought together over 500 swimmers from 23 nationalities, and our team of 9 swimmers proudly rose to the occasion with determination, resilience, and incredible sportsmanship.

From outstanding performances in the pool to making new friendships across cultures, the trip was filled with memorable moments both in and out of competition. Highlights included visits to the Emirates Stadium, Buckingham Palace, and a London bus tour making the experience both educational and inspiring. A truly remarkable journey that has left our swimmers motivated for even greater achievements ahead!

The Braeside International Games Gala Night at Safari Park Hotel was a wonderful celebration and fitting finale to three exciting days of competition, bringing students and coaches together for an evening to reflect on achievement, sportsmanship and shared experiences. Taking part in the pursuit of the top spot were Cambridge Academy Ethiopia, Rainbow International School, Braeburn International School Arusha, Braeside Lavington, and Braeside Thika, with each school giving their all throughout the event. Congratulations to our overall winners, Braeside Lavington. Every student competed brilliantly, gave their best and played an important role in making the event a success. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who put much dedication and effort to make this memorable international event possible.
We as Braeside Thika are proud to host and look forward to many more celebrations of sports and unity in the future.

Braeside International Games 2026, Day 2! Even the rain did not stop the incredible talent showcased at the swimming pool and on the football pitch. Watching the children build confidence, cheer for their friends, and push their limits was the real win. Win or lose, they are all MVPs in our book!
