The International Development Institute-Africa (IDIA) is a training, research and consultancy firm previously operated as the International Institute of Health and Development Policy and Research in Africa (2008-March, 2011); and before that as Africa Health and Development (AHEAD) Management Services. AHEAD was founded in 2002 to provide technical and consultancy services to various institutions

in the fields of health and development. The core team from AHEAD to IDIA has remained the same and has successfully carried out its mission across 25 countries in East, Central and Southern Africa. IDIA was founded in order to diversify from consultancy by forming a premier international learning and resource institution with primary focus on finding solutions to Africa’s problems of poor leadership, ill health, poverty and underdevelopment.

Thank God, we started today with orientation - tour of our facilities and briefing for our new students!

Now the April courses in Education School-based programmes begin on Monday the 14th with an orientation for students at 10 am at our campus at the Valley of Hope Centre near Mbaga Junction. Lecturers meet with prospective students. Looking forward to it!

IDIA college now has a partnership with the Great Lakes University of Kisumu (GLUK). This means that those interested to pursue courses offered by GLUK can now take the courses at our main campus based in Siaya. The main feature of these coures developed and delivered by IDIA/GLUK is that they are market driven. Apart from that new teaching methodologies have been expertly integrated into the programs it takes learning to a whole new level..... watch this space for the concept of learning through service (LTS) being used at IDIA.
