The Nyeri National Polytechnic today hosted a team from the State Department for TVET (SDTVET), accompanied by Prof. Gitau (University of Nairobi), the Polytechnic Management, and Technical Heads of Departments, for an assessment visit aimed at evaluating the institution's readiness to strengthen production units and innovation.

During the visit, the team:
✅ Assessed the readiness of our workshops for production units.
✅ Reviewed ongoing innovations and production activities across the institution.
✅ Evaluated the available equipment and machinery for the production of mechanical components and parts for Electric Vehicles (EVs), Welding and Fabrication Technologies, Upholstery, Fashion Design Technologies, and other manufacturing and industrial production technologies.
✅ Assessed the Polytechnic's capacity and readiness to scale up production activities.

The visit marks another significant milestone in positioning The Nyeri National Polytechnic as a centre of excellence in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), driving innovation, industrial production, and skills development that responds to industry needs and supports Kenya's economic transformation.

Today, The Nyeri National Polytechnic had the privilege of hosting a delegation from the Korea Development Strategy (KDS), GFA Consulting Group, and the State Department for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) for a Dual Training Monitoring Visit.

The visit provided an opportunity to assess the progress of the Dual Training Programme, share best practices, and strengthen collaboration between industry and training institutions in enhancing competency-based skills development.

We appreciate our distinguished guests for their insightful engagement and continued support in advancing quality TVET education. Together, we are building a skilled, competent, and industry-ready workforce for Kenya's future.
