🛠️ SKILLS IN ACTION | BUILDING FOR COMMUNITY 🛠️

Our Building & Construction Department trainees just completed a real-world project: a multi-purpose animal house for chicken, sheep, rabbits, and other domestic animals

A religious organization here in Ngong-Kibiku needed a durable, well-ventilated structure to support their food security program. So they entrusted it to our students.

What our students delivered:
1. Site prep to finishing: From foundation, walling, roofing, to ventilation + drainage
2. Species-specific design: Separate sections for poultry, small ruminants, and rabbits with easy-clean floors
3. CBET in practice: Every trainee applied measurements, masonry, carpentry, and safety standards they learn in class

Why it matters: At Daniel Comboni VTC, we don’t just teach theory. Our trainees build real structures for real clients in Kibiko, Ngong, and beyond. That’s how we produce job-ready, confident artisans.

Thank you to our partners at the religious organization for trusting our youth with this work. You’re investing in skills, dignity, and livelihoods.

Are you a church, school, or CBO in Ngong with a building project?
Talk to our Building Department. Let our trainees learn by serving you.

A section of Motor Vehicle Mechanic students recently had an exciting and enriching educational visit to Crown Motors Nairobi.

The trip provided students with a unique opportunity to bridge classroom learning with real-world automotive industry practices. During the visit, they interacted with experienced technicians, observed modern diagnostic equipment in operation, and gained valuable insights into vehicle servicing, maintenance, and emerging automotive technologies.

We are grateful to the management and staff of Crown Motors for their warm reception and for sharing their expertise with our students. Such industry exposure plays a vital role in preparing our trainees for successful careers in the automotive sector.

At Daniel Comboni Vocational Training Center, we remain committed to providing practical, hands-on learning experiences that equip our students with the skills and confidence needed in today's competitive job market.

Youth-centered + Energetic*
*From the classroom to the construction site! 💪*

Meet our Daniel Comboni VTC students — today they’re not just studying masonry, plumbing , welding, electrical & carpentry. They’re doing it for real with the team at GMC Construction Company

Measuring, mixing, building. Every brick laid is confidence gained. Every pipe laid is experience gained. Every day on site is a step closer to a job.

Big thanks to GMC Construction for giving our boys/men hands-on experience and treating them like future professionals, not “learners”.

This is what TVET should look like.
