As we begin Term 3, the Prelan Junior School family comes together in faith, gratitude and dedication. We commit this new term into the loving hands of God, trusting Him to guide every step, bless every effort and crown our work with success. 🙏🏽✨

We pray for all our learners — that this term may be filled with growth, joy, friendship, good health, discipline and a deeper love for learning. May every child discover their God-given potential and shine brightly! 🌟

And in a very special way, we lift up our candidates as they prepare to tackle their external examinations. May God calm every fear, strengthen their minds, reward their hard work and grant them confidence, wisdom and excellence. 📚🙏🏽

🌱 CAN WE ALL LEARN TOGETHER?

Starting learning early, from K1 — Reception Class, gives children a strong and beautiful foundation for their learning journey.

At this age, children learn best when there is no unnecessary pressure. They need an environment where they can explore, play, interact, rest and discover at their own pace.

Let them have time to:

📚 Learn together and discover new things.
😴 Sleep and rest because young minds need time to recharge.
🏃‍♀️ Jog, run and play because movement is part of healthy development.
😊 Smile, laugh and interact because happy children learn better.
🎭 Model and imitate as they develop confidence and creativity.
🃏 Hold flashcards and explore learning materials through hands-on experiences.
🤝 Play with one another and develop communication, sharing and teamwork skills.

Early learning does not mean early pressure.

It means giving children an opportunity to develop their language, confidence, independence, social skills, coordination and love for learning — while still allowing them to be children.

Reception is a crucial foundation. Let us give our little ones the gift of time, patience, play and meaningful learning.

Chess is more than a game. It is a journey of growth, discipline, friendship, and discovery.

Our young champions continue to learn invaluable life lessons—not only from one another but also from every environment they visit, every culture they experience, and every challenge they embrace.

When we run, we grow.
When we win, we celebrate.
When we don't, we learn.

Every tournament builds resilience, confidence, critical thinking, patience, and lifelong friendships.

Once again, our children have earned another opportunity to step onto the international stage—not merely to compete, but to practice, interact, learn, and enjoy the beautiful game of chess while representing Kenya with pride.
