Lions Club Of Nakuru Donated Books and essential items to Dandelion Africa , supporting thier libraries and helping them reach more children.
Through thier libraries in Nakuru, Baringo, and Kajiado, and thier mobile libraries across Narok, Baringo, Nakuru, and Kajiado, children have opportunities to read, learn, explore, and dream.
For many, these libraries are their first chance to read books beyond their school textbooks. They also provide safe spaces to do homework, use computers, make friends, and discover their talents

Thank you to Lions club of Nairobi Greater. & Old Books for New Eyes for the donation of the books that have been forwarded to Dandelion Africa who run community libraries and mobile libraries in arid areas like Majani Mingi, Suswa, Amboseli, Sarembai. Over 60 schools will benefit from this donations and other education shelters in arid areas.

Service in Action! 🦁✨

On January 17th 2026, the Lions Club of Nakuru was honored to host the 2nd Cabinet Meeting for District 411A. It was a productive day of fellowship and leadership, with nearly 100 delegates in attendance!

A major highlight of the event was led by our Education Committee. Through a successful District activity in partnership with the "old books for new eyes" and Lions club of Nairobi Greater., Through the Reading Action Program Convenor Lion Mizban Luhar, The Club officially handed over 216 books to support and benefit the learner’s of Melvin Jones Lions Academy. 📚

Together, we are empowering the next generation through literacy, partnership, and shared vision.
