We were delighted to welcome Sam Walker, who travelled all the way from the UK to visit the Vanessa Grant Trust school projects in Rongai, Kenya.
His time with students and staff gave him a firsthand look at the impact of the Trust’s support in the community.
Visits like these are deeply valued and reflect the power of connection and shared purpose.
Thank you, Sam, for your time, encouragement, and support. We warmly encourage more volunteers to come, witness the impact, and be part of this meaningful journey.

Teresia Wanjiku is redefining what possibility looks like.
With a speech impairment and learning at her own pace, every step she takes is a victory. Today, she is learning to operate a posho mill, a skill that brings her closer to independence and a future she can build for herself.
At the Rongai vocational training centre in Kenya, young adults who are differently-abled are equipped with practical skills that empower them to earn a living and thrive in their communities.
This is more than training.
This is transformation.
Join us in creating more stories like Teresia’s.
Your support helps provide tools, training, and opportunity to those who need it most.

The foundation of every outstanding future is built in the earliest years.
It shapes how children think, communicate, and engage with the world around them.
By investing in these early stages, we are not just teaching children; we are empowering them with the tools to grow, thrive, and reach their full potential.
If you would like to be part of this journey and help us continue building strong foundations for young learners, we invite you to support our mission.

Our special school participated in the county-level music competition and emerged number one.
This is no ordinary achievement. The majority of these learners are living with Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and intellectual disabilities; conditions that can affect communication, coordination, and memorization.
However, through patience, structured learning, and the dedication of their teachers, they transformed practice into performance and performance into victory.
This win is more than a trophy. It is a reminder that when children and young adults who are abled differently are given opportunity, support, and encouragement, they do not just participate; they excel.

What stood out most in this session wasn’t just the skill, but the determination. All she wants is to create something meaningful. And here, she has the opportunity, lessons tailored to her pace, a safe space to practice, and the guidance of well-trained teachers who believe in her ability.
Education for young adults with special needs is not just about academics; it’s about empowerment, dignity, and independence. When we take them to school, we open doors to creativity, confidence, and purpose. We show them and the world that ability comes in many forms.
Let’s continue to support inclusive education and ensure that every young adult, regardless of their challenges, has access to learning spaces where they can thrive, create, and shine.

In today’s world, technology is no longer a luxury; it is an essential part of learning and preparing students for the future.
What once seemed impossible has now become a reality in the schools we support. Computer classes are now being introduced to students, providing them with access to digital skills, new knowledge, and opportunities that will shape their futures.
We are deeply grateful to our donors and supporters whose kindness continues to transform learning environments and empower young minds. Your generosity is helping bridge the digital gap and giving students the tools they need to thrive in the modern world.

Visits like these strengthen the heart of our work.
During their time at Pamela Scott Leldet Secondary School, the main donors of the school (The Pamela Scott Family) experienced firsthand the passion of the staff, the determination of the students, and the vibrant spirit of the school community.
There were conversations, shared stories, and even a little dancing, a joyful celebration of partnership and progress.
Partnerships like these do more than build schools. They build futures.

Volunteering is more than giving time; it’s about showing up, connecting, and making a lasting difference.
In this testimonial, Alex, a volunteer from Cheltenham College shares his experience at Gogar Primary School and the joy that comes from supporting young learners and being part of their journey.

Every child should have the chance to learn in a safe, supportive environment, to walk into school with confidence, hold onto their dreams, and believe in their potential. Education equips children with knowledge, values, and the courage to shape their own futures.
By investing in education today, we are building a generation that will lead with purpose, resilience, and hope. Because educated children don’t just change their own lives, they change the world.
