𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐑𝐕𝐈𝐁𝐒: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐆𝐮𝐲𝐨

Jamilla is a Human Resource Management student in the School of Business and currently serves as the 𝑫𝒆𝒑𝒖𝒕𝒚 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝑹𝑽𝑰𝑩𝑺. Her passion for transformational leadership began long before she assumed her current role and continues to shape her journey as a student leader.
In her first year, she served as a Hostel Warden, a role that inspired her to advocate for students on a larger scale.
"𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒔 𝒂 𝑯𝒐𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒍 𝑾𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒏 𝒈𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒍𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍," she says.

Since assuming the role of Deputy President, Jamilla has grown in discipline, commitment, and responsibility. She acknowledges that leadership comes with challenges and sacrifices, but believes that true leaders must put the needs of those they represent first.
"Leadership is not a walk in the park. It requires sacrifice and the willingness to treat the concerns of others as your own."
One of her greatest inspirations is the late Honorable Raila Odinga , whose resilience and dedication to public service continue to influence her leadership journey.

Beyond leadership and academics, Jamilla is a football enthusiast and proudly serves as the captain of the RVIBS Ladies Football Team. Balancing academics, student leadership, meetings, and sports has taught her the value of teamwork, perseverance, and effective time management.
Her message to fellow students is simple:

" You are in the right place. Let us remain focused on the goals that brought us here and make the most of every opportunity available to us."

From student leadership to the football field, Jamilla Guyo continues to inspire through service, discipline, and commitment. Her journey reflects how RVIBS is nurturing confident leaders who are making an impact both inside and outside the classroom

The six team members, captured in the photo, successfully graduated today after completing the Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) Certification Course, a globally recognized entrepreneurship training program.

This achievement equips them with advanced skills in entrepreneurship development, business startup support, and enterprise growth strategies. As certified SIYB trainers, they are now empowered to guide aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners through the entire business journey from generating viable business ideas and launching successful ventures to improving and scaling existing enterprises.
