President's award mku-nakuru campus PA is a club which is available to all MKU Nakuru students we offers you unlimited fun in terms of expeditions,trips,and community outreach

PA(PRESIDENTIAL AWARD) (PA-K) is an exciting self-development programme available to all young people equipping them with positive life skills to make a difference for themselves, their communities, country and the world. It was launched in 1966 by the Founding Father of the nation, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta.There are three attainment levels of Award for the participants to undertake:

'' Bronze
" Silver
" Gold
For BRONZE it takes 6 months

For SILVER it takes 6 months

For GOLD it takes 12 months



Each of the three levels is divided into four sections to provide a balanced programme of personal development. " Service - this section enables participants to learn how to give useful service to others. " Skills - this section encourages the development of personal interests, creativity or practical skills. " Adventurous journey - this section encourages a spirit of adventure and discovery whilst undertaking a journey in a group. " Physical recreation - this section serves to encourage participation in physical recreation and improvement of performance. There is also an additional requirement at gold level:

“Residential project - whose aim is to broaden the experience of the participants through involvement with others in a residential setting,
