Literacy level's of our learner's has for zellions times/overtime fallen below par on international sailing among nation's.We can not avert our eyes.
Schools exist for kids and kids need to learn. They need us to teach them. Their education is the only public service where we shape the hearts and mind of our citizenry, day by day and child by child.
Point plank to the problem: our officials have hardened back from stepping away from legislative battle's to commoniniscal reforms in rethinking what is required. We are caught up in the wild wind of practice and henceforth gotten preoccupied with the latest proposal turning away from more profound challenge's.
I write this to prod commonsense reformers in Kenya to stay focused on the real issues by reminding the status quo that the horse should come before the cart, and convence my dear readers and followers at Large that there is asingle sensible course that can help provide all our children with the schooling they deserve. In nutshell, my attention is straight to educational leaders to get this one : here under as commonsense prescrption:
Let us adopt an interpretive, reading, writing and discussion curriculum through shared inquiry approach using our teachers as qiudes synchronously in saving all upcoming graders under CBC on questions of fact, interpretation, observation and evaluation.
Yes, Mr Minister for education; one does not need PHD to figure that out.
At most Kenyans school have necessary resources and trained teaching force to handle just that. I call therefore all school practitioners, school owners who have invested in the idea (Educationalists) and government itself to embrace reforms even though commonsense is not so common we need to stand up once and for all.
From experience, and focused as required on common sense school reforms ,Owomuyonga is available on
