As we continue celebrating the sterling performance of last year's candidates, it appears the celebrations are determined to continue!
This week, our very own Hon. Chairman Joseph Tanui The Teacher has given us yet another reason to smile. He sent a team from the National Government's Affordable Housing and Urban Planning Programme to our school, not for tea and photographs, but to plan real development.
The proposed projects, valued at approximately KSh 45 million include:
• A magnificent fully furnished social hall with a seating capacity of 1,600.
• Two modern multi-storey dormitories, each accommodating over 300 students.
• A state-of-the-art twin science laboratory.
• Teachers' quarters.
• A complete facelift of the school.
At this rate, our school may soon need guided tours and perhaps the neighbouring schools will start booking educational visits to admire the infrastructure!
One thing is becoming abundantly clear: when others are making promises, Hon. Joseph Tanui is busy making plans, signing papers, and delivering results. Little wonder many people are saying that if development were the only campaign language, he might find himself looking around on nomination day wondering where the opposition has gone!
To Hon. Chairman Joseph Tanui thank you for proving that the best speeches are built with bricks, mortar, and opportunity. The future of our learners has never looked brighter.
