4 Days. 1 Shared Mission: Caring for the Earth and People!
Day 1 of the East Africa Training of Trainers Conference is officially locked in at the Elsamere Centre for Education in Sustainability!
Our General Manager, David Ndungu, officially opened the 4-day regional workshop, welcoming teachers, patrons, and environmental trainers from across East Africa to Naivasha for a transformative week dedicated to creating awareness, changing attitudes, and encouraging action.
Here is a glimpse of what our delegates are tackling over this packed 4-day program:
Sustainable Development & Circular Economy: Waste management, circular economy principles, and a hands-on tour of the KMEG Waste Recycling Centre.
Wildlife & Biodiversity: Expert-led sessions on elephant conservation with Mara Elephant Project (MEP), raptor protection with the Kenya Birds of Prey Trust, and marine biodiversity strategies.
Farming & School Projects: Sustainable agriculture with Joyce Charis Farm and practical guides for running school SDG projects.
Student Wellness: Mental health awareness and early detection strategies for teachers to support learners in school settings.
Corporate Support: Learning how institutions like KenGen and Equity Bank back school-led sustainability efforts.
History & Hands-On Fun: School exhibit displays, a visit to the Joy Adamson Museum, and boat rides on Lake Naivasha!
We are thrilled to host these passionate champions of environmental education as they build the tools needed to inspire the next generation of eco-warriors.
