Becoming an effective Virtual Assistant is not rocket science and can be mastered with the application of a little effort plus patience.
No doubt, VA has attracted hot competition lately, but to stand out, you need to do things differently.
Number one:
You need to know how to use a computer, at least basic MS Office.
Secondly, understand how to use and emailing
- Know Social Media Marketing basics
- Social Media Posting (management)..and more
However, things that can make you popular or stand out the most are
1. Have the right tools (Computer, internet, basic software)
2. Have a noise-free workstation at home
3. Build a plan and strategy to follow through
4. At least learn one skill and be better at it (As you advance, avoid being a generalist)
5. Value time (And always do not forget to deliver more than expected for reconsideration or referral)
