At Smart Start we know that parents lead a busy lifestyle and it is often difficult to juggle the demands of work and childcare hours. Understanding the struggles of parents work schedules we at Smart Start provide the ideal solution to both parents and children through our flexible timings, and drop in programs during key times of the year so that parents can meet their daily needs. At the heart of Smart Start is Erem Kassam a married mother of two young girls, acquired her Bachelor's degree from Ryerson University in Canada. She has also seen first-hand the struggles of finding reliable, safe and healthy childcare that is also enriching for young children. She has worked in the field for over 20 years as a teacher, supervisor and director and knows how important it is that a school is operated around both parents’ schedule and children's needs. Her most recent position was that of a professor teaching the Early Childhood Education course at a university level. She is passionate about children and encourages dialogue with parents, caregivers, support workers and most importantly the children.
